Community Bridge Initiative Completes Pilot Year!
The Community Bridge Initiative (CBI) pilot year was completed in 2015, and reviewed and assessedSpring 2016. The USU Community Bridge Initiative is a place-based service-learning model thatenables students to utilize knowledge obtained in the classroom to tackle real-world problemsidentified by the community. Over the 2015 year, nearly 200 students in 12 classes participated in 8project issue areas. Including air quality improvement, neighborhood development, urban deepmanagement, and after-school evaluation and training. 14 USU Faculty partnered with 9 Logan Cityleaders to provide engaging real-work experience for students while providing support for localcommunity need.
